Burger King has rolled out a limited-time menu built around the anime franchise Dragon Ball Super, joining a growing list of fast-food chains chasing the anime-collectibles trend that has swept the industry this year.

What's On The Menu

The centerpiece "Dragon Ball Super Power Up Pack" includes ten-piece chicken nuggets served with a new sweet, savory and tangy teriyaki-style Super Saiyan Sauce, alongside a Dragon Ball Burst Lemonade made with mango-peach puree and popping mango boba. The meal comes with themed packaging, a Dragon Ball Super crown and one of six exclusive collectible figurines featuring Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Beerus and their Super Saiyan God forms.

A Dragon Ball Super-themed King Jr. Meal is also available nationwide, letting younger fans choose a hamburger, cheeseburger or chicken nuggets alongside a side, drink, themed crown and one of the same six figurines while supplies last. The rollout also coincides with Burger King's broader relaunch of its chicken nuggets, which the chain says now use 100% white meat and a new marinade for a crispier texture.

Part Of A Bigger Anime Wave

The tie-in follows McDonald's recent Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal, underscoring how fast-food chains are increasingly leaning on anime and pop-culture collaborations to drive foot traffic and social media buzz. Burger King's marketing chief said the goal was to give families an unexpected way to engage with a franchise that has inspired multiple generations of fans.

Timed With Dragon Ball's Comeback

The collaboration lands as Dragon Ball Super prepares to relaunch its first story arc later this year under the title "Dragon Ball Super: Beerus," ahead of a long-awaited new anime sequel, making the promotion as much a marketing tie-in for the franchise's return as it is a fast-food menu drop.
